About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide tooling supplier quality assurance for aerospace programs
- Serve as the technical interface for tooling suppliers
- Coordinate tooling design reviews
- Manage supplier DPD/MBD audits using CMM/CMS
- Conduct tool buy-off processes for corresponding programs
- Resolve technical queries related to supplier-provided tooling
- Manage the lifecycle of supplier-provided tools and jigs through physical and virtual buy-off processes
- Generate NCRs for supplier tooling deviations
- Raise CARs with suppliers
- Conduct supplier audits and direct SCARs using RCCA methodologies
- Drive supplier development initiatives to improve tooling supplier performance
- Perform source inspections of tools, jigs, and fixtures at supplier locations
- Prepare and communicate periodic tool check reports to customers regarding supplier tooling performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Should have tooling supplier quality assurance experience for aerospace programs
- Technical interface experience with tooling suppliers
- Experience coordinating tooling design reviews
- Experience managing supplier DPD/MBD audits using CMM/CMS
- Awareness of tool lifecycle and supplier-provided tool and jig approvals through physical and virtual buy-off processes
- Ability to generate comprehensive Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for supplier tooling deviations
- Ability to raise Corrective Action Reports (CARs) with suppliers
- Experience conducting supplier audits
- Experience directing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies
- Capability to lead supplier development initiatives
- Skill in source inspection of tools, jigs, and fixtures at supplier locations
- Ability to ensure quality compliance prior to buy-off
- Ability to prepare and communicate periodic tool check reports to customers
