About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the technical story for deals requiring customer machines, sensors and control systems to connect to MaintainX
- Run OT discovery with operations and controls teams
- Map customer data sources to the appropriate connector before deal close
- Demo OT connectors live using prospects' equipment and data
- Scope integrations with Implementation and Professional Services
- Partner with Solutions Architects on custom OT work and provide a clear technical brief
- Log recurring integration requests as product feedback
- Work daily with Account Executives, Solutions Architects, Implementation, Product and R&D
- Coach sellers on when to involve Solutions Consulting
- Support a customer portfolio primarily in English-speaking markets, including the US and English Canada
- Travel for customer on-sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role: solutions consulting, pre-sales engineering, implementation, integrations or similar
- Real exposure to manufacturing or industrial operations and plant-floor work
- Experience designing or supporting API-based integrations, data workflows or automation
- Working knowledge of OT data sources such as SCADA, historians, PLCs or industrial gateways
- Ability to explain data flows to an operations manager and an IT lead and adjust to each
- Experience running several evaluations at once while maintaining technical detail
- English required for daily verbal and written communication with customers
- Hands-on experience with Ignition, Kepware, MQTT or OPC UA is nice to have
- Experience with Workato, Boomi, Tray.io, Zapier or ERP integrations such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is nice to have
- Background in condition-based or predictive maintenance is nice to have
- Ability to work in the listed location
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must answer whether employer support such as visa sponsorship is needed
