About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet or exceed territory sales plan and expense plan goals through territory-specific strategies
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with targeted opinion leaders and physicians
- Maintain current knowledge of company products and relevant disease states
- Develop territory business plans, call plans, and work schedules to achieve sales objectives
- Develop and implement special programs, including speakers’ bureau programs and symposia
- Develop and maintain permanent customer records
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time
- Deliver effective and accurate sales presentations to customers
- Maintain a professional sales image
- Perform duties in compliance with applicable regulations, Pharma guidelines, and company policies
- Attend regional and national conferences throughout the year
- Serve as a salesperson, business partner, and consultant for autoimmune and rare disease therapies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years’ experience required in Rheumatology or Pulmonology
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree: Associate’s Degree and 5+ years, or 7+ years, of successful, proven pharmaceutical or industry equivalent experience within Rheumatology or Pulmonology
- Current experience within the territory and customer knowledge highly preferred
- Experience selling biologics to specialty physicians in rare disease areas preferred
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license
- Local travel; some overnight travel required
- Ability to demonstrate documented success as a top producer
- Superior clinical selling skills
- In-depth understanding of clinical data, relevant disease states, products, adjunctive therapies, market forces, industry trends, economic sectors, and market dynamics
- Ability to develop strategic account plans and territory business plans
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with opinion leaders and physicians
- Ability to operate within applicable regulations, Pharma guidelines, company policies, procedures, and standards
