About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and maintain call objectives for the geography and develop territory business plans
- Create call plans and execute individual prescriber plans of action
- Use approved promotional materials and effective selling techniques
- Attain performance guidelines for call activity, sample utilization, and quarterly business plan updates
- Adhere to FDA, PDMA, HPPA, and Keenova policies when interacting with healthcare professionals
- Maintain databases documenting sales calls, trends, objectives, sampling data, and territory performance
- Manage the sample accountability program and complete administrative, activity, email, voicemail, and expense-reporting responsibilities
- Update the Area Sales Manager on the territory business plan quarterly
- Maintain sophisticated knowledge of healthcare issues, products, disease states, patient and consumer education, and market factors
- Learn and apply sales training, product information, payer-environment knowledge, and sales strategies
- Prepare for and participate in required sales conferences and training classes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ relevant experience preferred
- Biopharmaceutical Industry experience required
- B2B sales experience required
- Able to understand technical issues (medical, computer, data analysis)
- Overnight travel is necessary (30% or more), territory specific
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
