About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and maintain call objectives for the assigned geography
- Develop and complete territory business plans
- Create call plans identifying contacts, contact frequency, and products to focus on
- Develop and execute individual prescriber plans of action
- Use approved promotional materials and effective selling techniques
- Meet performance guidelines for call activity, sample utilization, and quarterly business plan updates
- Follow FDA, PDMA, HPPA, and Keenova policies when interacting with healthcare professionals
- Maintain databases documenting sales calls, trends, objectives, sampling data, and territory performance
- Manage the sample accountability program
- Complete weekly activity reports, expense reports, and other administrative responsibilities
- Update the Area Sales Manager on the territory business plan quarterly
- Maintain sophisticated knowledge of healthcare issues, products, diseases, and payer environments
- Build and expand relationships with healthcare professionals and customers
- Prepare for and participate in sales conferences and training classes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years’ relevant experience preferred
- Biopharmaceutical Industry experience required
- B2B sales experience required
- Ability to understand technical issues, including medical, computer, and data analysis topics
- Overnight travel of 30% or more is necessary
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
- Must learn and execute core sales training curriculum
- Must learn and apply information regarding new and existing products as demonstrated by tests and Field Contact Reports
- Must prepare for, attend, and actively participate in required sales conferences and training classes
