About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead engagement of MHA’s top Long-Term Care pharmacy accounts
  • Drive member retention, portfolio expansion, sustainable sales growth, and revenue growth
  • Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Negotiate and close high-value contracts and complex agreements
  • Develop and execute sales, account, business, and budget plans
  • Serve as primary contact for strategic clients and senior stakeholders
  • Build and maintain trusted C-suite and executive relationships
  • Conduct quarterly Member Business Reviews and deliver actionable insights
  • Track and analyze account performance and provide executive reporting and recommendations
  • Use AI-enabled tools, analytics, and process improvements to strengthen account insights and streamline workflows
  • Lead and collaborate with account executives, sales professionals, and cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate with trade relations, operations, finance, legal, product, technology, manufacturers, and wholesalers
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions
  • Provide market feedback to product and marketing teams
  • Plan and facilitate LTC Pharmacy Sales team education and training
  • Follow company policies, legal regulations, and governance/compliance programs
  • Report policy violations and assist with remediation efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree required, preferably in business
  • 8-10 years’ experience in sales and sales management
  • 2-3 years’ direct sales experience emphasizing large, major national accounts
  • Experience managing an outside sales team, preferably in Specialty Care, Long Term health care, pharmaceutical, or medical products industries
  • Ability to coordinate a high level of activity under varied conditions and constraints
  • Proven ability to manage and grow revenue for large, strategic accounts
  • Strong analytical and strategic thought leadership skills
  • Superb written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build and manage teams and develop consensus across cross-functional teams
  • Results-driven with ability to provide direction and innovation
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and client-server/web-based applications
  • Expertise negotiating complex agreements and influencing C-suite and senior executive stakeholders
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools, analytics, automation, or process improvement
  • Strong revenue-management, analytical, strategic, communication, interpersonal, and technical capabilities
  • Ability to travel 50%
