About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee administrative phases of firm engagements, including budgeting, pricing, monitoring actuals against budget, and ensuring data integrity in financial systems
Develop pricing strategies and procedures, including analysis of Artificial Intelligence’s impact on legal and consulting work
Manage the Pricing Team and daily pricing operations
Create budget templates using historical firm data
Research legal and consulting industry trends and use peer and industry data to modify pricing processes
Develop profitable, sustainable, and relevant pricing solutions for partners and business professionals
Analyze client financials to optimize profitability and predictability on matter results
Support strategic pricing solutions for client RFPs
Assess budgets and identify solutions when engagements are off track
Ensure accurate engagement data in financial systems and promptly update changes
Analyze billing information to guide fee arrangement proposals
Create and maintain monthly reporting on client matter-level metrics
Collaborate on reporting needs, including ad hoc engagement reporting
Assist with presentations and forecasts for key engagements
Help develop client/matter dashboards and reporting while ensuring data governance and integrity

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field required
Minimum of 5 years of legal pricing experience
Advanced Excel skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Professional Services Firm and Aderant experience a plus
Exceptional interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication with proven ability to work effectively with end users, peers and managers
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects effectively
Self-motivated and able to work successfully with minimal supervision
Work authorization verification through Form I-9 and E-Verify
