About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own daily performance across every Tulsa base, including uptime, order fulfilment, cancellations, safety and turnaround
Ensure the ground operation meets Manna's Operations Manual and standards required by its Part 135 partner
Manage Area Supervisors and an Operations Coordinator, including recruitment, performance, development and succession
Own recruitment, onboarding, training and retention of a large part-time ground crew
Own the shift lead programme, including identifying, training and developing crew members
Own rostering and scheduling across every base seven days a week, including leave, absence and the on-call rota
Build a culture of attendance, accountability and retention
Bring new bases live with deployment and site delivery teams from handover to first flight
Structure and staff each new area as it opens
Own the day-to-day operational relationship with the Part 135 partner
Hold aircraft availability and turnaround times accountable and escalate issues
Own metro operating costs, including cost per delivery
Monitor operational and safety metrics, investigate causes and drive fixes
Structure the team to support additional bases without redesigning metro operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years running multi-site operations, including managing managers or supervisors
Proven experience managing a large hourly or part-time workforce across multiple locations, including rostering, seven-day coverage, turnover, absence and no-shows
Experience in quick-service restaurants, retail, logistics depots, last-mile delivery or similar environments
Track record of developing frontline staff into supervisory roles
Experience opening new sites and bringing them into live operation
Proactive, data-led leadership in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
Based in Tulsa or able to relocate quickly
Willingness to travel to other US markets
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather during site visits
Ability to stand, walk and bend on site
Ability to safely operate company vehicles
Ability to pass pre-employment background screening
Preferred: degree or equivalent in a relevant field
Preferred: experience with robotics, aviation or other safety-critical regulated technologies
Preferred: experience in an FAA Part 135 or similarly regulated environment
