About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Mycronic products on customer premises, at company facilities, and via telephone
  • Install and set up Mycronic PCBA Assembly systems and software products at customer facilities
  • Provide trade show support, including equipment setup and temporary cabling installation
  • Conduct pre-site inspections, preventative maintenance, and customer care support for service contracts
  • Maintain accurate equipment support and repair records in field service management software
  • Maintain assigned assets, including laptop/computer, phone, tools, and repair parts
  • Document warranty claims and return defective replacement parts to designated depots
  • Communicate with key personnel at assigned accounts regarding support, repairs, and ongoing issues
  • Escalate support issues to management
  • Maintain knowledge and skills needed for high levels of customer service support
  • Collaborate with customers, administrative staff, and field support personnel
  • Meet targets and goals set by regional and area managers
  • Perform other duties related to the company's service processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or at minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of related experience with surface mount technology, electronics and/or robotics
  • Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle
  • Proven mechanical, electrical, and computer competency
  • Experience or training/certification in computers and Microsoft Windows environments
  • Mechanical assembly and basic maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to travel approximately 50–75%
