About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and build APIs and backend services exposing new capabilities to members
- Apply creative problem-solving to implement software designs and architecture
- Design, code, unit test, and integrate features defined by the Product Owner and team
- Apply Agile principles and methodology in daily work
- Contribute to automated tests to ensure high-quality, reliable code
- Update progress daily using Jira and Kanban boards
- Contribute to deployment, maintenance, support, business-needs, and runbook documentation
- Participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions for digital solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and weekly meetings
- Help the Product Owner refine the Product Backlog
- Provide initial estimates and challenge requirements when appropriate
- Build backend services powering features in native Android and iOS apps
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years Back-end development experience
- Kotlin and Java
- Spring Boot and Spring Security
- JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, and Redux
- Testing, CI/CD, and quality practices
- Unit and integration testing frameworks
- BDD tools such as Cucumber
- CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Cloud Foundry
- Terraform, Flux, ConfigMap, and related automated engineering platform components
- SOAP, REST, and GraphQL services
- Microservices and event-driven architectures
