About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Distribution partners in acquiring new business, including finalist presentations and implementation meetings
  • Serve as the primary client contact during new issue implementation phases
  • Manage client relationships and ensure implementation needs, expectations, and timelines are met
  • Coordinate and facilitate client and internal project team meetings
  • Maintain action items and meeting minutes
  • Delegate, negotiate, and follow up on implementation tasks across internal departments
  • Track and report project status and escalate significant barriers or issues to senior management
  • Support project teams and help resolve issues
  • Provide expertise on Manulife’s digital experience for group pension clients across web, mobile, and voice channels
  • Drive adoption of digital tools among plan members
  • Support presale and finalist processes
  • Obtain plan details, clarify requirements, and establish task delivery dates
  • Recommend plan design, service options, technology solutions, and administration needs
  • Provide direction and solutions regarding plan setup, eligibility, contractual, and administrative information
  • Apply legislative and privacy guidelines to assist clients
  • Create and modify implementation schedules
  • Manage implementation projects, tasks, timelines, resources, and roadblocks
  • Obtain approvals for increased scope and costs and communicate impacts to clients and project teams
  • Track customization costs and ensure clients are billed when costs exceed approved allowances

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum five years of work experience in Group Pension and/or account management
  • Thorough knowledge of Group Pension products and services
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills preferred
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset; if based in Québec, proficiency in both languages is required to support clients from various provinces outside Québec
  • Ability to influence decision makers at all levels
  • Ability to think critically, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and make recommendations
  • Strong customer-facing skills, including expectation management, communication, and information management
  • Ability to drive issues through the organization
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated presentation and negotiation experience
  • Previous experience with a project management role or approach
  • PMP is an asset
