About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support projects and initiatives in the Affinity Insurance team
  • Work closely with analysts, Value Stream staff, and business partners to deliver initiatives and projects
  • Determine business impacts of initiatives and projects, particularly impacts to business processes
  • Build new or revised processes to enable business partners to deliver seamlessly after project launch
  • Prepare business partners for introduced changes and articulate their specific implications
  • Ask questions, understand business drivers and needs, and document detailed business requirements
  • Build and foster positive, effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with working groups and document business needs
  • Support business readiness while minimizing impacts to Operations productivity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 or more years of relevant work experience in business analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • PowerPoint, Confluence, and JIRA experience would be an asset
  • Experience in Financial Services, especially Insurance, would be an asset
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Experience with process mapping and/or process design
  • Ability to foster positive relationships and effectively lead various sized groups to attain collaborative and innovative solutions
  • Adaptable and able to reprioritize conflicting workloads and deliverables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to adjust for different audiences
