About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the redevelopment and execution of core elements within the Operational Risk Management Framework
Drive transformational design of quality management components, including quality measurement, reporting and insights, error and feedback management, audit performance, and reportable events
Provide objective assessments of the business control environment, mitigation strategies, emerging risks, and potential control gaps
Perform and/or lead controls testing on high-risk transactions
Recommend opportunities for process and control improvements
Monitor risk and control issues
Maintain the controls inventory
Conduct root cause analysis for operational incidents or errors
Build relationships with business and functional partners
Contribute to risk reporting
Deliver presentations to senior audiences
Represent Canada Operations in transforming the core components of the Operational Risk Management Framework
Develop and enhance the Quality Management Program within Canada Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
Operational risk certification is an asset
10+ years of related experience with strong knowledge of business processes, risks, controls, and operational risk management methodologies
Proven experience leading high-performing teams and driving transformational design initiatives
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex risk and control topics clearly to senior leaders and stakeholders
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and risk assessment skills
Ability to synthesize complex information, challenge the status quo, and support strategic decision-making
