About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support short- and long-term planning and deliver fund oversight operational goals
  • Collaborate with team leaders, partners and stakeholders on business-as-usual deliverables and processes
  • Implement and validate procedural changes
  • Maintain documentation and support change management initiatives
  • Manage vendor queries and resolve emerging operational issues
  • Identify high-risk processes and recommend mitigating controls
  • Strengthen the future control environment
  • Drive process improvements, efficiencies and synergies
  • Support peak periods and international partners outside regular business hours when required
  • Lead initiatives and contribute to key projects
  • Monitor evolving accounting and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Mentor junior team members and encourage participation across team priorities and projects
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, operational support and file reviews for fund oversight
  • Safeguard the accuracy and integrity of NAV calculations for internally and externally managed funds

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of three years in a managerial or team lead role
  • Fully bilingual in French and English
  • Strong knowledge of fund and investment accounting, securities, settlements, foreign exchange transactions and reconciliations
  • Ability to respond quickly, meet tight deadlines and take ownership
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented and highly accurate
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • CPA or other financial designation is an asset
