About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct information security risk assessments of new and existing vendors
- Review IT controls, AI governance controls, business continuity/disaster recovery controls and subcontractors
- Assist with establishing and completing risk control assessments of vendor information systems and functions
- Provide expert understanding of technical concepts and solutions
- Research and independently investigate new issues and innovations
- Identify problems and propose and execute solutions
- Perform contract reviews with Legal as appropriate
- Collaborate with vendors, partners and internal teams
- Assist with metrics creation and reporting
- Improve processes, adding value and efficiencies
- Perform virtual vendor site visits
- Exercise decision authority over information security risk assessments
- Influence within a team environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 to 7 years of IT work experience, including 2 to 3 years IT auditing or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- CISA is required
- CRISC or CISSP preferred but not required
- Excellent organization and planning abilities
- Understanding of IT controls, audit and risk management
- Ability to present to and work with all levels of management
- Ability to handle complex issues
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes within the business and organization
- Ability to explain and bring business-specific context to key IRM principles
- Understanding of constraints impacting operations and decisions
- Ability to identify the big picture of interrelationships and dependencies
- Ability to balance competing demands with little management direction/support
- Ability to manage high-visibility and high-risk consequences
- Effective communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
