About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical designs to develop testing approaches and provide quality-focused feedback
- Design, maintain, and execute functional, regression, API, automated, and performance tests
- Build and enhance automated test coverage using Selenium, Cucumber, Xray, Postman, JMeter, or comparable technologies
- Analyze automation results and investigate complex failures and defects
- Partner with engineers to identify root causes and support resolution
- Develop test plans, test scenarios, and risk-based testing approaches
- Leverage AI-enabled tools for test planning, test design, defect analysis, test automation, and quality documentation
- Define, monitor, and interpret quality metrics and KPIs
- Identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in quality engineering processes
- Champion quality-focused engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participate in code and test reviews
- Coach and guide team members by sharing technical knowledge and testing practices
- Evaluate emerging testing technologies, tools, and frameworks
- Communicate quality risks, findings, recommendations, and solutions to technical and non-technical partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 or more years’ experience supporting all testing deliverables for complex enterprise implementations
- Strong hands-on experience in software quality engineering, including test automation
- Experience independently developing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing approaches for complex applications
- Strong experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Xray, Jira, Postman, JMeter, or comparable technologies
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, UI, API, automated, behaviour-driven, and risk-based testing practices
- Experience analyzing complex automation failures and software defects and contributing to root cause identification and resolution
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation coverage, and overall software quality
- Experience applying quality engineering best practices and determining where different testing approaches are most effective
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, product, and other technology partners
- Ability to coach, guide, and share quality engineering knowledge and practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and ability to evaluate new tools and approaches
- A degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
- Experience applying AI-assisted techniques to testing and quality documentation (preferred)
- Experience with performance testing and API testing (preferred)
- Experience supporting quality engineering for complex enterprise applications or implementations (preferred)
