About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Learn foundational industry knowledge including investments, financial products, privacy/compliance, and the John Hancock business model
  • Train on Salesforce, Brightscope Beacon, investment comparison tools, and other prospecting resources
  • Support retirement sales divisions by conducting research, preparing reports, and contributing to internal projects
  • Participate in networking sessions with subject matter experts across National Accounts, Investments, Marketing, and Product
  • Engage in professional development workshops and receive coaching from sales leaders and the L&D team
  • Build practical knowledge of investments and sales systems while expanding organizational networks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Sales, Business Administration or related fields
  • Strong academic performance and genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance or sales post-graduation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Submit a resume, cover letter, and most recent transcript; unofficial transcripts accepted
  • Prior internship, co-op, or work experience in financial services, sales, or client-facing roles (preferred)
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or other sales enablement platforms (preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through prior roles, campus involvement, or extracurricular activities (preferred)
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment (preferred)
