About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a strategic portfolio of AI, Salesforce, and Sales Enablement initiatives supporting Distribution and Sales Technology transformation
  • Coordinate across Business, Product, Technology, Architecture, Data, Security, Finance, Operations, and external partners
  • Oversee the full SDLC from initiation and delivery through implementation, stabilization, and post-launch support
  • Manage technology delivery, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, closure, and post-initiative evaluation
  • Deliver against scope, budget, schedule, regulatory, operational-readiness, and customer commitments
  • Apply software engineering and technology expertise to implement technology strategies and ensure effective software delivery
  • Lead Salesforce modernization initiatives
  • Support Distribution Modernization, Territory Management enhancements, and RVP Assignment modernization
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled sales capabilities within Salesforce
  • Coordinate mobile, web, and desktop sales experiences
  • Provide cross-functional leadership and align product architecture with IT service areas
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks affecting project success
  • Build schedules, milestones, goals, and scope with Business Initiative leads
  • Align technology components, solutions, feasibility, and delivery
  • Foster innovation, collaboration, alignment, and productivity across teams
  • Develop and integrate project and operational metrics demonstrating IT value to the business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years of technical program management expertise in a related field
  • 3+ years delivering technology solutions in the life insurance industry (required)
  • Direct leadership over and exposure to innovative AI-based solutions and downstream capabilities (preferred)
  • Familiarity with life insurance regulatory and business concepts and operational impacts of product changes
  • Ability to manage execution plans to a budget and provide updated financial forecasts for labor and non-labor expenses
  • Familiarity with AI concepts, principles, and governance from use-case identification through adoption and monitoring
  • Applied generative AI delivery expertise, including large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, model evaluation, guardrails, and production monitoring
  • Ability to influence and execute work without directly managing resources
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to articulate technical vision and translate outcomes into options and execution
  • Ability to present business cases and roadmaps to senior leadership, sponsors, and stakeholders
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and continuous improvement
  • Experience partnering with Marketing and Distribution to translate product and regulatory requirements into technology deliverables with acceptance criteria and traceability
  • Ability to design and manage integrations across technology ecosystems, including API contracts, versioning, and backward compatibility
  • Ability to drive non-functional requirements for user experience, high availability, resiliency, observability, and data privacy/security
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Recognized as an expert within IT specialty and/or business and broader organization
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Ability to partner with business and technology leaders to identify and prioritize AI opportunities across insurance and operations functions
  • Ability to define success measures, controls, adoption plans, and value metrics
  • Ability to identify and manage initiative-delivery and team-dynamics risks
  • Proficiency in project/initiative management software tools and methodologies, including Agile and SDLC (preferred)
  • Understanding of Agile metrics, Scrum, and similar methodologies (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of data, integration, and platform capabilities for AI solutions and secure enterprise data access (preferred)
  • Proven track record delivering complex, large-scale IT solutions, modernization, and integration work in regulated environments (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of insurance regulatory/compliance considerations (preferred)
  • Experience with test governance, TDD, parallel testing, defect triage, and sign-off processes (preferred)
  • Strong strategic thinking, adaptability, flexibility, resilience, and decision-making skills (preferred)
