About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect for new manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, OTC products, hygiene products, and supplies
  • Research potential donors based on product needs, CSR focus, product portfolio, partner focus, and employee engagement areas
  • Monitor industry news and analyze conference and event attendees to identify potential corporate donors
  • Support strategies targeting corporate leadership, employees, and associated corporate foundations
  • Develop engagement plans for new gift-in-kind donor prospects and grow an assigned caseload
  • Represent MAP International at approved industry conferences, events, and gatherings
  • Conduct research projects to increase gift-in-kind and cash revenue
  • Manage, cultivate, and deepen relationships with major pharmaceutical companies under the direction of the Senior Director, Corporate Relations
  • Communicate with existing and potential pharmaceutical company donors and manage related administrative tasks and deadlines
  • Organize agendas and lead effective meetings with corporate partners
  • Contribute to the Corporate Relations Team’s annual gift-in-kind and cash goals
  • Develop presentations for corporate employees or key personnel
  • Write grant requests and funding proposals for gift-in-kind or cash donations and manage donor feedback reports
  • Support corporate donor audits, including pre-audit reporting and communications
  • Keep CRM portfolio data current and accurate
  • Follow the Corporate Relations communication plan to regularly engage assigned portfolio donors
  • Obtain disaster relief funding from corporate partners during disasters or humanitarian crises
  • Support annual report engagement, tax, receiving, shipping, storytelling, and regular update presentations
  • Serve in one or more Corporate Relations subject matter expert roles and support other SMEs
  • Use data visualization software to prepare compelling presentations
  • Support special projects advancing corporate engagement, program development, MAP growth, and the MAP 2030 Vision
  • Collaborate with Corporate Relations, Partnership and Innovations, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Compliance teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, required
  • 2–5 years of pharmaceutical and health supply industry engagement and/or non-profit experience, preferred
  • Project Management experience, preferred
  • GIK procurement (Sales), Fundraising and/or Marketing experience desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and proven diligence with ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work under pressure with specific deadlines
  • Confident, self-starter and able to work independently, while also working well in team situations
  • Ability to independently lead effective meetings
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Experience with a CRM is preferred
  • Excellent phone skills, clear diction, and sensitivity to the importance of donor relationships
  • Ability to prioritize and make good decisions/judgments
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus during significant computer-related work
