About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative support to the Safety Department
  • Prepare, format, organize, and maintain paperwork, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and departmental records
  • Create and distribute professional communications and documents, including notices and updates
  • Assist with departmental requests and special initiatives, including coordinating Safety Week logistics
  • Support project teams with filing, document assembly, record-keeping, and meeting minutes
  • Assist office and project teams with general meetings, office and social events, and recurring coordination meetings
  • Manage multiple requests accurately and respond to changing departmental needs
  • Use computer programs confidently and learn new systems as required
  • Produce accurate, timely work in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide a collaborative, service-focused approach

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Administrative role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills
  • Professional discretion when managing confidential information
  • Fast, accurate typing skills
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a collaborative team environment
  • Previous experience supporting a Safety, Construction, Engineering, or Operations team is considered as an asset
  • Experience supporting teams across multiple locations or time zones is considered as an asset
