About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage a team of full-stack and platform software engineers
  • Develop people and processes supporting timely delivery of innovative, secure, high-quality platforms and solutions
  • Lead, guide, and set direction for the product engineering team
  • Manage employee development, performance reviews, pay reviews, staffing decisions, recruitment, development, retention, and performance
  • Plan and lead low- to medium-complexity IT projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, quality delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and internal groups to identify needs and deliver effective solutions
  • Oversee development, implementation, maintenance, stability, security, efficiency, integration, and interoperability of enterprise platforms
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Manage vendor relationships and service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, security measures, platform governance policies, and established IT policies and standards
  • Align product roadmaps with business strategy and long-term objectives, particularly in enterprise and Oil & Gas contexts
  • Champion cloud, cybersecurity, data governance, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems
  • Monitor technology trends, industry advancements, and regulatory changes; recommend technology adoption and system enhancements
  • Oversee budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and contract negotiations
  • Partner with leadership to develop business cases for technology initiatives
  • Assist in developing IT policies, procedures, and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another computer-related field required
  • 10+ years of diversified IT experience required
  • 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience required
  • Hands-on experience implementing scalable, reliable, extensible, and reusable enterprise-wide integration platform components
  • Hands-on experience in service-oriented and microservice architectures
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing middleware
  • Hands-on experience with source control, branching strategies, code reviews, CI/CD deployment pipelines, automated testing, release management, and DevSecOps
  • Knowledge of downstream refining and midstream domains required
  • ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
  • Experience with Portfolio and Product management, particularly in an Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment preferred
  • Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I Certification preferred
  • Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or equivalent enterprise platform architecture certification strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI-enabled product development lifecycle preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver IT products or services aligned with business strategy, including oversight of project timelines and vendor relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and execute plans based on established strategies and organizational objectives preferred
