About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support architectural governance and compliance
Define architectural principles, guidelines, and standards
Participate in solution architecture reviews and ensure architecture adherence
Design and lead enterprise-scale solution architectures spanning multiple systems and platforms
Architect solutions for major modernization initiatives
Serve as the primary architectural advisor for cross-functional solution delivery
Collaborate with business stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, and System Architects
Define and enforce solution architecture standards, integration patterns, and governance practices
Mentor and develop solution and system architects and implementation teams
Shape strategic roadmaps and business capability models
Identify and mitigate solution-level risks
Develop scalable and efficient frameworks and solutions for cross-functional Workday projects
Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, and platforms
Create prototypes and proofs of concept
Drive solutioning sessions with multiple functional-area teams
Provide expert guidance on Workday best practices, configuration, security, integrations, and reporting
Review Workday configurations for standards adherence and performance optimization
Stay current with Workday releases, features, and industry trends
Identify process-improvement opportunities and leverage Workday functionality to improve efficiency and user experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, related field, or equivalent experience required
Eight (8) or more years of relevant IT experience
Five (5) or more years of relevant architecture experience
Deep understanding of Workday’s architectural framework, including Business Process Framework, Security, Reporting (BIRT, Custom Reports), and Integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio)
Experience leading large-scale Workday implementations and integration activities across the HR ecosystem
Workday certifications in Core HCM or related modules are highly desirable
Oil and Gas industry experience is a plus
Knowledge of Agile methodology
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of artificial intelligence, big data analytics, cloud computing, DevSecOps, IoT, machine learning, process orchestration, and solution architecture
Familiarity with networking, databases, cloud computing, and security
Strategic outlook and systems thinking
