About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Engineer, govern, monitor, and continuously evolve Marathon Petroleum’s ServiceNow platform
Partner with product owners, process owners, architects, cybersecurity teams, development teams, suppliers, service providers, and stakeholders
Establish platform standards and oversee integrations and configurations
Drive platform modernization and align capabilities with enterprise architecture and ServiceNow best practices
Monitor infrastructure platforms and systems to identify performance issues and anomalies
Analyze performance data, establish baselines, create reports, and implement tuning strategies
Design and configure complex ServiceNow platforms and systems
Ensure compliance with original designs, configurations, and standards
Build and deploy highly available, scalable, secure, and integrated infrastructure solutions
Document support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps
Provide technical support and resolve complex hardware and software issues using IT Service Management practices
Assist with backup planning and disaster/system recovery design, execution, and testing
Develop reporting frameworks, dashboards, and visualizations for platform performance and utilization
Participate in knowledge sharing through meetings, presentations, and workshops

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience preferred
2+ years of relevant experience required
Experience with ServiceNow platform integration design, development and support preferred
Strong understanding of and hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, APM, SPM, Now Assist and AI capabilities preferred
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile and Release Management processes preferred
Experience partnering with integrated suppliers, service providers, business-facing IT, and stakeholders to deliver solutions preferred
ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, and CIS preferred
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure management, computer networking, cybersecurity risk management, DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, IT infrastructure management, performance monitoring, policy management, process automation, service delivery management, systems administration, systems testing, systems integration, and troubleshooting
