About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive improvements in the reliability of rotating and reciprocating equipment for NG & NGL
- Evaluate the scope and timing of preventative maintenance work using engine/motor/compressor analysis equipment, vibration equipment, and borescopes
- Support operation and maintenance of plant systems, including gas compression equipment, control systems, auxiliary support systems, and ancillary equipment
- Maintain accurate records of engine/compressor analysis
- Provide condition-based corrective action recommendations for operational problems on gas compression equipment
- Work directly with location personnel to resolve ancillary plant equipment issues
- Provide technical assistance in plant equipment operations and maintenance
- Provide training on equipment operations and maintenance policies and procedures
- Assist in equipment failure analysis and development of standard practices and procedures
- Calibrate and maintain analytical equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED is required
- Must hold a valid Driver License and have an excellent driving record
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with reciprocating and rotating machinery repair and/or machinery diagnostics
- Thorough understanding of the mechanical aspects of gas compression equipment and their support systems
- Experience with Caterpillar and Ariel engines is preferred
- Experience with reciprocating engine/motor/compressor condition monitoring systems
- Demonstrated ability to analyze engines and compressor with Windrock Analyzer
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and troubleshoot vibration problems, with an understanding of spectral analysis
- Demonstrated experience in using electronic databases as well as storage and archival of electronic data
- Strong understanding of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint computer programs along with proprietary analyzer software
- Must be comfortable working with remote supervision
- Travel is required and may occasionally include out-of-town nights and weekend travel
