About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development and execution of commercial priorities, optimization strategies, and asset plans for Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs)
  • Identify optimization opportunities, assess capital trade-offs, and contribute to portfolio value enhancement
  • Align value chain flows and infrastructure plans with enterprise goals through collaboration with trading, marketing, operations, logistics, and corporate strategy teams
  • Identify and lead logistics cost reduction and strategic placement efforts for MPC production
  • Manage commercial relationships with third-party logistics service providers, including contract renewals and new contract negotiations
  • Lead strategic growth, acquisition, merger, and divestment initiatives
  • Guide economic evaluations and financial modeling to identify value creation opportunities
  • Liaise with Business Development, Services Development, MPLX, RVCO, Trading, Scheduling, and Marketing stakeholders
  • Co-lead cross-functional projects, business case development, project options, and execution handoff
  • Communicate opportunities, plans, and strategies to internal stakeholders and present to executive leadership with support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Seven (7) or more years of Commercial, Strategy, or other related experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of refining, midstream, marketing, and logistics operations
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of economic value contribution
  • Experience with economic evaluation and financial modeling and analysis
  • Contract management and negotiation skills
  • Cost optimization skills
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Willingness to travel an estimated 10–15%
