About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to improve platform and system performance and resource utilization
Establish performance benchmarks and conduct capacity planning
Collaborate with junior engineers and cross-functional teams to optimize infrastructure performance and activities
Develop and improve troubleshooting procedures, minimize platform and system downtime, and maintain documentation
Lead and manage platform and system technical support and troubleshooting, including escalated and complex issues
Perform advanced system tuning and optimization using IT Service Management practices
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance support processes and methodologies
Participate in platform and system backup planning
Lead the design, testing, and implementation of disaster and system recovery
Analyze performance and utilization data, identify trends, prepare infrastructure performance reports, and implement corrective actions
Lead the design and configuration of complex platforms and systems according to best practices and industry standards
Build and deploy highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions
Maintain platform and system design and configuration compliance and correct deviations from standards
Create and maintain a comprehensive platform and system knowledge base
Organize training sessions, mentor junior engineers, and promote cross-team knowledge sharing
Lead Infrastructure Automation, infrastructure CI/CD, SRE, DevSecOps, SDLC, SDN, Network as Code, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust Network Architecture initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of relevant platforms engineer experience
Experience in Networking, Compute, Storage, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration Management, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and/or Platform Development
Experience in Operational Technology and a solid understanding of PERA model preferred
Experience in Azure DevOps, GitLab, Netbrain, Netbox, Itential, Jenkins, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools for continuous integration and deployment preferred
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure management, computer networking, cybersecurity risk management, DevSecOps, general programming, Infrastructure as Code, IT infrastructure management, performance monitoring, policy management, process automations, service delivery management, system administration, system testing, systems integration, and troubleshooting
