About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide overall management, planning, execution, and leadership for all aspects of a designated market
- Create mission impact and advance maternal and infant health equity
- Mobilize supporters and grow a diversified revenue portfolio
- Manage donor stewardship and maintain an individual donor portfolio
- Develop and implement local strategic plans, revenue pipelines, budgets, and financial analyses
- Position March of Dimes as a leader in maternal and child health care
- Establish partnerships with corporations, foundations, community and corporate leaders, government officials, nonprofits, and supporters
- Report to the Associate Vice President of Market Impact
- Lead and develop local donor relationship, mission, and shared-services staff
- Recruit, develop, and retain volunteer leaders and board members
- Ensure CRM data integrity and use reporting to support business decisions
- Monitor donor needs, market trends, and competitor actions
- Hire, coach, develop, evaluate, and retain diverse market staff
- Set performance goals, provide feedback, and deliver annual performance reviews
- Create a productive, professional, respectful, and culturally diverse work environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 year college degree or equivalent experience
- Experience managing multiple staff across various functional areas, including telecommuting employees
- Experience in a nonprofit environment is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate staff and lead change
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proven track record building internal and external relationships
