About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Executive Director and/or Director of Donor Development in positioning March of Dimes as a leader in maternal and child health care
  • Establish partnerships and collaborations with corporations, foundations, community and corporate leaders, government officials, community organizations, nonprofits, and supporters
  • Develop and steward a portfolio of donor relationships
  • Mobilize supporters to drive mission impact and increase revenue through fundraising campaigns
  • Collaborate to execute year-round fundraising campaigns and event core tactics
  • Lead, engage, empower, and mobilize volunteers
  • Use constituent relationship management systems and analytical reporting to evaluate and implement individualized strategic plans
  • Report to the Associate Director, Executive Director, or Director of Donor Development; share successes and solve problems
  • Ensure revenue goal achievement through donor and prospect relationships, market volunteer leadership, and mission investment leads
  • Translate mission and advocacy into demonstrated impact and identify supporter philanthropic interests
  • Engage supporters and expand or implement mission programs to achieve revenue growth and measurable mission impact
  • Execute best-in-class fundraising events, acquire new supporters and donors, and increase revenue
  • Maintain and grow a donor revenue portfolio by moving donors through the donor continuum and adding prospects
  • Identify corporate partners and develop strategic partnerships
  • Maintain a year-round revenue pipeline for events, mission investment revenue, major and mid-level gifts, and planned giving
  • Identify, recruit, and lead volunteer leadership
  • Research and analyze revenue growth opportunities
  • Provide tailored donor experiences and mission-led activations through stewardship plans
  • Provide year-round activation and stewardship opportunities for family teams
  • Update CRM information daily to ensure data integrity
  • Identify, recruit, and steward qualified volunteer leaders
  • Engage volunteers and advocates year-round across mission impact, fundraising, and advocacy priorities
  • Qualify and activate candidates for volunteer roles on assigned event committees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven ability to plan and execute successful fundraising campaigns and events
  • Peer-to-peer campaign experience
  • Proven success in cultivating and securing major and planned gifts
  • Proven success in cultivating and securing corporate partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to work and cultivate relationships across a variety of sectors, communities, and levels to ensure mission alignment and reach
  • Proven success in recruiting and retaining high-level volunteer leaders and board members
  • Experience creating content for social media and email marketing, and using those platforms to support donor engagement
  • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
