About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of base, precious, ferrous metals, and broad commodity products
- Deal in commodity products, particularly base, precious, and ferrous metals
- Correspond directly with clients, including banks, hedge funds, market makers, fund managers, institutional trading houses, and trading boutiques
- Assist with onboarding new client relationships and maintaining existing relationships
- Support colleagues with operational processes and client engagement
- Prepare new required frameworks and improve operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and other central functions
- Develop strategies to increase P&L through market and product analysis
- Ensure compliance with FCA, NFA, and other regulatory requirements
- Perform regulatory activities under Marex Financial and MSIL trading books
- Liaise with clients mainly in Asia and other regions
- Monitor and escalate policy breaches and risk events
- Provide input to risk management processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Junior-level position
- Fluent Mandarin and English
- Basic understanding of commodities and derivatives markets
- Experience in a client-facing role is desirable
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial services markets and relevant regulatory requirements
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborative team player who is approachable and self-efficient
- Ability to work in a resilient manner in a challenging, fast-paced environment
- Strategic collaboration skills with insight and agility
- Ability to comply with FCA and NFA regulatory requirements, operational risk frameworks, internal policies, and regulatory Codes of Conduct
