About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform appointment processes to ensure requirements are met
  • Translate faculty recruitment and initial appointment process materials into appropriate electronic documents
  • Coordinate Adjunct/Adjoint appointment processes, review packets for accuracy and completeness, and obtain required approvals
  • Serve as an information resource for departmental administrative leadership
  • Execute and demonstrate comprehensive understanding of UT Health Careers for faculty recruiting and appointment process steps
  • Support compliance in faculty separation, termination, and retirement processes
  • Support Promotion, Tenure, and Appointment Committee (PTAC) and Post-Tenure Evaluation (PTE) process requirements
  • Anticipate PTAC-related initial appointment needs, faculty appointment changes, internal promotion processes, and Emeritus honors nominations
  • Communicate requirements related to faculty evaluations and reporting
  • Coordinate service hand-offs with other stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to promote knowledge sharing within and beyond own team to effectively serve the customer's needs
  • Ability to communicate professionally with a high level of discretion, effectively interact with various individuals, and represent UT Health San Antonio
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands and follow up on multiple issues in a time-sensitive manner
  • Ability to utilize resources for problem solving and identify appropriate escalation points
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Four (4) years' experience required
  • Experience may be substituted for education
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
