About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle a high volume of patient and clinical business calls, averaging 60–65 calls per day
- Provide an exceptional and positive patient experience to every caller
- Register new patients, including obtaining accurate demographics and entering and verifying subscriber insurance information
- Schedule appointments for new and existing patients according to clinic guidelines and protocols
- Assist patients with questions, concerns, and medication refill requests, or send messages to appropriate providers or clinical staff
- Service calls for a primary clinic and at least one additional clinic
- Perform after-hours duties to assist patients with urgent medical or health concerns
- Complete outbound calls according to assignment processes and procedures
- Meet or exceed contact center performance standards, focusing on quality, accuracy, and timeliness
- Maintain call quality assessment scores of 95%–100% consistently
- Participate in ongoing training and contribute to call center agent training plans and improvement initiatives
- Serve as first-level contact for escalated patient issues and exercise conflict resolution skills
- Adapt to operational changes based on business needs
- Comply with clinical policies, procedures, and HIPAA requirements
- Meet time and attendance expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- One (1) year of customer service experience
- One (1) year of experience in a healthcare and/or clinical setting environment
- Bilingual skills preferred, but not required
- HS Diploma or GED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Listening skills
