About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and deliver all aspects of the employee life cycle for a distributed workforce
- Oversee core HR operations, multi-state compliance, compensation and benefits plans, and HR policies
- Support people managers through coaching, training programs, strategic workforce planning, and change management execution
- Partner with Finance and Operations to deliver a best-in-class remote work environment
- Collaborate with, manage, and develop the HR Generalist
- Improve the employee experience, performance management, onboarding and orientation, recruitment processes, and internal events
- Learn and optimize HR systems to support a highly connected distributed workforce
- Partner with the CHRO to implement organization design changes using change management best practices
- Work with the CHRO and general counsel to implement best practices for organizational risk management
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Deep understanding of the full employee lifecycle
- Proven track record of managing and developing direct reports
- Experience translating high-level talent strategy into scalable operational plans
- Project and change management experience
- Experience building, refining, and modernizing HR processes and software platforms
- Strong technical acumen in compensation, benefits administration, and market benchmarking
- Experience managing vendor and consultant relationships
- Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Knowledge of multi-state labor compliance standards and organizational risk management
- Ability to navigate complex workplace conflict and sensitive employee relations matters
- High integrity and discretion when managing sensitive and confidential information
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize competing demands, communicate tradeoffs, and meet deadlines
