About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and meet or exceed assigned sales targets across existing customers
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, building strong long-term relationships and improving satisfaction, loyalty and retention
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
  • Act as primary customer contact, responding to enquiries, resolving issues and providing timely updates
  • Maintain the sales ledger, pipeline and weekly sales reports
  • Provide regular reports, forecasts and performance analysis to management
  • Use CRM tools and sales analytics to monitor performance, forecast sales and support commercial decisions
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy and provide client insight
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations and finance teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful exhibition delivery
  • Contribute to event debriefs and strategic planning to improve exhibitions and customer experience
  • Report to the Sales Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or in a related sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Good working knowledge of the commercial side of the exhibition industry, with experience working closely with exhibition teams, including marketing, operations and finance
  • Strong relationship-building and people skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and build long-term client relationships
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to understand customer needs, analyse market trends and use sales data to inform decisions
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage a portfolio of accounts, maintain accurate records and keep sales pipelines and forecasts up to date
  • A proactive, initiative-taking approach, with a clear focus on delivering results and improving customer satisfaction
  • Further experience within the exhibition industry and an understanding of the wider exhibition sales cycle
  • Experience identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing customer accounts
  • Experience contributing to event debriefs, strategic planning and initiatives to improve an exhibition or customer experience
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK
  • Unable to offer visa sponsorship
