About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage renewal business under the supervision of an Underwriter and progress to writing new business
  • Prepare exposure analyses and present them to the Underwriter for signoff
  • Gather and review financial condition, risk exposure, loss history, and economic trend information
  • Extract internal data and research external information to identify product-line trends
  • Provide basic forms and coverage interpretations and advise on additional coverage needs
  • Understand and evaluate exposures and underwrite policy change requests
  • Maintain accurate underwriting documentation in the account management system
  • Ensure accurate system data entry and complete documentation files
  • Establish and maintain effective client relationships and regular client contact
  • Build strong relationships with employees across the organization
  • Support underwriters, customer service, written premium goals, loss ratio, and team growth opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to follow process and attention to details
  • Willingness to work toward insurance designation (AINS)
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience and education
  • US Work Authorization required
