About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a point of contact for agents and brokers
  • Gather information on behalf of underwriters
  • Answer questions and resolve low-complexity issues
  • Facilitate account servicing and process business transactions not requiring underwriter review or signoff
  • Obtain information needed to finalize inquiries and transactions
  • Maintain suspense and follow-up systems for outstanding underwriting items
  • Ensure accuracy of information entered into systems and verify required documentation
  • Communicate with team members, agents, brokers, and business partners to research and gather information
  • Follow internal guidelines, procedures, service standards, and compliance requirements
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous-improvement activities
  • Attach appropriate forms and make policy changes under underwriter direction
  • Establish and maintain effective client and employee relationships
  • Participate in special projects and other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to follow processes and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Willingness to work toward the AINS insurance designation
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • US work authorization required
