About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Exceed sales quota within an assigned territory by delivering Acumed product on time and providing high-quality technical assistance in the OR
  • Assess the customer base to identify new business opportunities
  • Execute targeted sales strategies and follow up on leads
  • Execute business plans to identify and close new business
  • Identify prospect needs and develop/deliver appropriate responses through written, telephone, and face-to-face communication
  • Perform field sales calls for assigned accounts and territory, including on-call and operating room consultation
  • Provide post-sale follow-up, including delivery-date communication and management, in-service training, and product replenishment coordination
  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts about product updates, portfolio changes, and medical educational programs
  • Cross-sell additional products and introduce new products
  • Drive customer satisfaction and promptly resolve account issues and concerns
  • Maintain customer records using the Company’s CRM tool
  • Maintain compliance with the AdvaMed code of conduct and applicable laws, regulations, accreditation and licensure requirements, and company policies
  • Obtain training in sales skills and product knowledge
  • Maintain current knowledge of the medical device industry, customers, and competitive trends
  • Attend tradeshows, sales meetings, promotional activities, and professional association meetings as needed, including outside regular business hours

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (business or medical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years demonstrated successful sales experience, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other surgical personnel
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals in respective areas
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments
  • Must be able to gain necessary credentialing for hospital access
  • Reliable transportation
  • Required to obtain hospital-required credentials for frequent surgery visits/observations
  • Additional job-related screening processes may be required following a conditional offer
