About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Remotely review, evaluate, and interpret radiographs, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and other digitally submitted diagnostic images
- Dictate diagnostic imaging reports using voice dictation software
- Collaborate with colleagues through the AIS chat group
- Consult with clients and veterinary professionals via phone, email, Zoom, MS Teams, and other communication methods
- Interact with AIS technical support and other personnel
- Participate in AIS clinic rounds, journal club, employee meetings, and professional enrichment
- Participate in ACVR continuing education and other applicable CE events
- Participate in quality control programs
- Maintain proficiency in clinical diagnostic skills and remain current on veterinary diagnostic theories, approaches, and treatments
- Assist with veterinary teleradiology duties
- Participate in enterprise initiatives and special projects as assigned
- Uphold organizational ethical standards and report policy or ethical concerns
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
- Diplomat of American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (EVDI)
- Expertise interpreting radiographs, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine
- Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in respective state
- Fluency in the English language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commitment to the highest standards of medical quality and veterinary code of ethics
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work effectively within a team, with clients, and with management
- Ability to work effectively remotely with minimal supervision
