About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare financial analysis, business reporting, and operational financial reporting
  • Support the Director, FP&A/Treasury, with short- and long-term financial planning processes
  • Analyze financial performance against KPIs and provide actionable recommendations
  • Facilitate corporate reporting and KPI monitoring
  • Report and analyze financial statements and corporate results
  • Facilitate monthly business reviews and report financial performance to the executive team and parent company
  • Prepare monthly financial and operational KPI reports and management report packages
  • Partner with accounting to enhance ERP data capture and FP&A reporting
  • Coordinate with IT to identify reporting needs and facilitate report development
  • Provide management analysis, what-if analysis, scenario planning, and business case reviews
  • Coordinate with global regions on regional reporting and KPI reviews
  • Build the detailed annual budget and long-term strategic growth plan
  • Manage financial planning software and serve as the corporate expert
  • Support parent-company enquiries and ensure submissions align with parent guidelines
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities and help manage their impact
  • Drive SGA cost savings and manage SGA reporting and spending
  • Develop cost-saving initiatives and corporate benchmarking
  • Meet stakeholders to manage spending and identify opportunities
  • Mentor, develop, and manage junior staff as required
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a finance role
  • Minimum two years’ experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry preferred
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Very strong financial writing skills and ability to tell the story around the numbers
  • Experience with ERP systems, including reporting tools
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity, and professionalism
  • Excellent project managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to management requests
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress and adjust plans to changing needs and requirements
  • Willingness to work extended days and weekends as necessary
