About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Procure all materials and supplies in support of assigned locations
  • Support and assist assigned locations with procurement processes within the ERP procurement system
  • Communicate issues with multi- or cross-location impact to the Procurement Operations Manager
  • Review requisitions to assure correct supplier, pricing, and quantity based on ordering patterns and supplier agreements
  • Achieve lowest cost and required need dates
  • Communicate purchase orders to suppliers within two business days
  • Ensure supplier confirmation for all purchase orders
  • Resolve supplier pricing and delivery issues before shipment
  • Keep locations informed of deviations from requirements
  • Follow up on past-due orders and communicate updated delivery information
  • Resolve invoice disputes and document resolutions in the Accounts Payable database
  • Provide pricing changes with supporting justification
  • Assist locations with procurement-related issues
  • File and store purchase order and confirmation paperwork
  • Maintain accurate procurement data, including manufacturer, unit of measure, classification, price, lead time, and locations requiring items
  • Participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 1-year experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with ERP systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with Smartsheets and Power BI
  • Verbal and written competency in the English language
  • Extensive sitting, phone, and computer use
  • Ability to extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers
  • Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch
  • May be required to lift, move, and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Hearing ability to effectively communicate via telephone and in person
  • Ability to communicate verbally on the telephone and in person
