About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help design and implement the data and analytics strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Identify and prioritize key areas of data-driven improvement
- Mentor and develop team members where required
- Foster a data-driven culture
- Collaborate with FE/FAs and senior managers to understand needs and provide data-driven solutions
- Communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences
- Act as a trusted advisor on data and analytics matters
- Oversee design and implementation of data warehousing, data pipelines and data integration processes for the FE organization
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and integrity
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks and dashboards
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns and insights
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis
- Support CRD-owned capabilities handed over to D&A
- Manage and lead testing and training of CRD-owned projects
- Conduct doctor sessions with FE and Segment stakeholders for analytical capabilities
- Lead communities of practice with segments to upskill D&A capabilities
- Track adoption and utilization of D&A-owned capabilities
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Optimize data processes and workflows
- Implement Mars DT-sanctioned Business Intelligence tools
- Evaluate emerging data and analytics tools and technologies
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy
- Work with Corporate, Segment Data custodians and Mars Digital Team stakeholders to improve digital R&D products, enable R&D process compliance, and ensure user friendliness and efficiency
- Work closely with FE/FAs to drive data and analytics, reporting and automation initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, or science discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in R&D, R&D systems, data, Supply or DT/Business partnership
- Experience with R&D or Quality systems required
- Experience with a data related role preferred
- Proficiency in data warehousing concepts and technologies
- Strong SQL, M Query and DAX skills for data query and manipulation
- Understanding of database design and management
- Expertise and experience in Mars DT sanctioned reporting tools, e.g. Power BI
- Ability to create interactive dashboards and reports
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with statistical methods and techniques
- Understanding of automation tools and techniques, e.g. RPA and scripting
- Ability to design and implement automated data processes
- Knowledge of data governance principles and practices
- Ability to ensure data quality and integrity
- Knowledge of data pipelines and ETL processes
- Proficiency in Python or R is very beneficial
- Ability to develop and implement data strategies aligned with SPOC and business goals
- Ability to lead and motivate without direct authority
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to find solutions to complex data problems
- Ability to drive change within the organization
- Good understanding of data process
