About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell, distribute, and merchandise Mars Snacking products at retail outlets across all channels in an assigned territory
  • Suggest orders and sell presentation programs to customers
  • Present and sell booking sheets to stores
  • Maintain distribution of assigned products and sell new innovations
  • Ensure promotional and seasonal compliance within designated retail outlets
  • Ensure shelves are stocked with all listed products
  • Refill merchandiser fixtures and secure secondary display space with customers
  • Use POS for effective merchandising and pricing
  • Rotate products on shelves and in backrooms to maintain quality and freshness
  • Maintain accurate business data using hand-held technology
  • Manage territory customer coverage efficiently according to the company call coverage model
  • Plan and organize route schedules according to frequency and time-in-call requirements
  • Follow allocation of time based on segment priorities
  • Keep the DSM updated regarding territory activity
  • Maintain stock of merchandising supplies and POS materials
  • Follow company procedures for processing credits and samples
  • Read and understand field communications and priorities
  • Support special projects for the Sales team as assigned
  • Communicate with the Sales Organization
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including Engagement Action Planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Previous sales experience is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work part-time, 24 hours per week, Monday–Wednesday
  • Ability to work in Regina, Saskatchewan and surrounding towns
  • Ability to use hand-held technology
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures, including time, expenses, product waste, and mileage
  • Ability to process credits and samples according to company procedures
