About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Welcome customers into stores and provide excellent service
- Deliver the Phoenix customer experience program by exploring customer needs, answering questions, and providing support
- Optimize sales through effective customer experience and selling techniques
- Act as a Brand Ambassador and share retail and cocoa knowledge
- Learn product ranges, production methods, allergens, sustainability, and ethics
- Run product tasting sessions and demonstrations
- Receive deliveries and safely secure stock in stockroom areas
- Present, clean, and maintain stock according to guidelines and best-before dates
- Ensure health and safety compliance through daily operations
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the store
- Maintain store security for cash, stock, IT, buildings, and health and safety
- In the absence of management, handle store opening and closing procedures and business requirements while holding store keys
Requirements
What you’ll need- A positive attitude and desire to work in a customer facing environment
- Previous customer service experience is not essential
- Experience working as part of a team to achieve a shared goal or target
- Flexibility to support colleagues and workload according to needs
- Ability to identify product types and use guidelines to ensure displays are well presented and stocked according to specifications, seasonal promotions, and special offers
- Ability to listen carefully to customers' individual needs and adapt communication style to different customer types
- Ability to learn a diverse range of products, including how they are grown and produced
- Passion for cocoa and desire to learn about differing tastes and relevant allergens
