About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a team of approximately 15 associates and contribute to achieving daily operational results in safety, quality, production, and productivity
  • Develop and engage the team on a daily basis while ensuring compliance with work procedures
  • Report directly to the Plant Director and contribute to the site’s Extended Leadership Team
  • Ensure the integrity of associates, products, equipment, and infrastructure
  • Produce safely, with high quality, and at the best possible cost while adhering to the 5 Principles
  • Execute and monitor established standard processes
  • Ensure optimal use of manufacturing equipment
  • Make operational decisions related to production
  • Analyze incidents, report near misses, and implement corrective actions
  • Quarantine non-conforming finished products or raw materials
  • Monitor process and equipment improvement actions
  • Ensure the team achieves its operational targets (OEE, NQC, etc.)
  • Ensure preventive actions are carried out and issue work orders
  • Ensure effective material flow management and the accuracy of intermediate inventories
  • Contribute to production planning
  • Escalate continuous improvement proposals and technical change forms
  • Enforce 5S and GMP/GHP standards in the production area
  • Lead Connection Point meetings (FMOS) and update boards and performance indicators
  • Develop associates’ skills through PDPs and training
  • Onboard new associates and temporary workers
  • Foster team engagement and establish action plans
  • Anticipate future skills requirements
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and allocation of team skills
  • Coach team members on a daily basis
  • Ensure information is effectively communicated to the team
  • Make decisions concerning the entire plant, including shutdowns and evacuations
  • Make quality decisions aligned with business and team objectives
  • Monitor Mars Wrigley objectives, plant KPIs, and the site’s employee relations activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree from a technical or general engineering school (Master’s level/Bac+5) and/or a university Master’s degree (Bac+5)
  • 3–4 years of experience managing large teams
  • Knowledge of Basic, Training, Industrial Engineering, Lean, and Maintenance processes
  • Proficiency with IT tools (MS Office, web tools, etc.)
  • Fluent English, minimum B1 level
  • Work on a 2x8 shift schedule (morning and afternoon shifts)
  • Permanent contract (CDI)
