About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer and troubleshoot different financial applications
  • Monitor systems for proper online mirroring and end-of-day data backup restoration
  • Ensure regular, timely, and automatic uploading of files into relevant systems and confirm with the Compliance Department
  • Administer network security and intrusion controls
  • Coordinate enhancements before implementation in the live environment
  • Execute disaster recovery testing and ensure compliance
  • Provide software support to branch personnel
  • Perform day-to-day activities for applications operated in the branch
  • Ensure start-of-day, end-of-day, end-of-month, half-yearly, and yearly processing is completed successfully
  • Ensure daily backups before and after end-of-day processing, with backups stored securely off-site
  • Ensure computer-generated reports are printed and distributed
  • Maintain hardware and software maintenance agreements and report errors to superiors
  • Provide a proper operating environment for computer equipment
  • Maintain effective control, security, and backup for programs and data files
  • Ensure data integrity and correctness and take remedial action for discrepancies
  • Coordinate system modifications and enhancements
  • Maintain service delivery levels during system breakdowns
  • Administer systems and MIS runs in accordance with Central Bank and bank policies
  • Ensure branch network, firewall, intrusion detection, and financial network interfaces meet standards and remain operational
  • Monitor system backups and maintain current system versions
  • Coordinate with users and vendors on testing and implementation of new systems
  • Review regulatory, Head Office, and Internal Audit exceptions and take corrective action
  • Provide off-hours support to financial systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a banking environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand banking applications for successful implementation
  • Behavioral competencies
