About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage production support and delivery for the bank's most critical application, Core Banking
- Develop and execute the technology support strategy
- Guide and mentor the team while delivering high-quality support services
- Deliver IT solutions fulfilling business and functional requirements
- Manage the SDLC of Core Banking change management from business requirements through technical specifications, delivery, and post-implementation maintenance
- Support and manage the Core Banking system to mitigate financial, reputational, regulatory, and operational risks
- Lead the Core Production Support function within SLA, schedule, budget, and scope parameters
- Oversee testing and quality and compliance controls throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage a diversified offshore and outsourced professional team responsible for pan-bank application support
- Manage the Run the Bank team, including stability, monitoring and control, capacity management, and incident management
- Achieve agreed SLAs
- Conduct system analysis and provide support in response to user issues
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations for assessing issues and initiatives to support and enhance systems
- Review and evaluate business requirements against existing and proposed systems and recommend solution approaches
- Analyze functional requirement change impacts on existing systems
- Manage solution documentation, including System Requirement Specifications (SRS)
- Prepare and execute Technical Design Specifications and programs
- Explain banking concepts to development teams and verify issue resolution and developed functionality
- Manage test cases and test data
- Guide and assist development teams in issue resolution and build functional repositories
- Understand bank business requirements and convert them into requirement and functional specifications
- Implement customized FLEXCUBE solutions at bank sites and conduct integration testing
- Specify enhancements and change requests
- Manage and maintain documentation for custom configuration and parameterization of third-party solutions
- Provide technical guidance, information, and instruction to IT staff requiring broader subject knowledge
Requirements
What you’ll need- Cross-border team management experience
- Strong business orientation and domain knowledge to comprehend user requirements
- Strong organizational, team building, and leadership qualities
- Engineer / Postgraduate with 15+ years of experience and hands-on experience in FLEXCUBE 14.x, including product designing and implementation
- Minimum 10 years in team management, project management, and managing core implementation and support
- Knowledge of Banking domain is a must
- Extensive hands-on experience in core banking systems (FLEXCUBE or other core banking solutions)
- Experience with product designing and implementation with respect to business requirements
- Strong understanding of SDLC process
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Experience of Banking Operations, particularly Core Banking, General Ledger, Loans, Payments, Trade Finance, and other related Banking channels
- Excellent project management experience
