About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and direct hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Promote a culture of safety throughout the hospital
- Oversee patient safety programs and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality reporting requirements
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics, including readmission rates, infection rates, and patient satisfaction scores
- Lead or facilitate Root Cause Analysis investigations for significant adverse events
- Prepare reports for hospital leadership, regulatory agencies, and quality improvement committees
- Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to address emerging challenges and improve quality and safety
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study required
- Master's Degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in quality improvement, patient safety, or a related field within a healthcare setting required
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience required
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data analysis and reporting
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Must be available to work on-site as needed at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and other Mass General Brigham affiliated hospitals
- Must use a stable, secure, and compliant workstation in a quiet environment on remote workdays
- Teams Video is required and must be accessed using MGB-provided equipment
