About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Room patients and prepare exam rooms in a cardiology outpatient setting
  • Obtain vital signs and EKGs

  • Float to nearby cardiology locations, including Dover and Portsmouth, based on staffing and operational needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting preferred
  • 1–2 years of Medical Assistant or clinical/medical office experience required
  • Experience in a fast-paced outpatient or specialty setting strongly preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or equivalent national certification) preferred
  • Clear and compassionate communication with patients and team members
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced cardiology environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and patient care
  • HIPAA compliance and adherence to privacy and confidentiality standards
  • Ability to take vital signs, manual blood pressures, and orthostatic vital sign measurements
  • Ability to perform EKGs or willingness to be trained in a high-volume EKG setting
  • Experience using electronic medical records (EHR) and basic clinical systems
  • Critical thinking in real-time clinical situations
  • Effective time management and adaptability to changing clinic needs
