About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Price US Pension Risk Transfer and UK longevity reinsurance opportunities
  • Underwrite and develop proposals for new business
  • Conduct risk analyses and product development or modifications
  • Review contracts and certificates for group annuity products
  • Work with Pricing, Product, and Corporate teams on approvals, assumptions, pricing processes, and exceptions
  • Modify pricing models and perform sensitivity testing
  • Solicit and analyze competitive data
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants and advisors
  • Complete actuarial projects supporting the Pension Risk Transfer business
  • Collaborate with actuarial, investments, valuation, business development, internal operations, and corporate functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in an actuarial, quantitative, or financial analysis role
  • Experience with pricing, valuation, modeling, risk analysis, or related analytical work
  • ASA Designation
  • Knowledge of pension/retirement, pension risk transfer, or longevity reinsurance is a plus
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple concurrent deliverables
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend complex information and convey complex materials to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced business degree and/or professional qualifications are ideal
