About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead requirements strategy for complex, cross-functional insurance product initiatives
  • Elicit, document, decompose, validate, and prioritize business and functional requirements
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to shape solution approaches and evaluate impacts and dependencies
  • Maintain requirements traceability across design, development, testing, implementation, and post-launch support
  • Facilitate working sessions, resolve ambiguity, and drive alignment across teams
  • Apply insurance domain knowledge and systems thinking to identify gaps and strengthen solutions throughout the product lifecycle
  • Translate business objectives into clear, actionable system requirements and solution definitions
  • Support successful delivery from concept through implementation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Product Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related technology delivery role
  • 3+ years of experience supporting insurance operations and technology initiatives in areas such as Life, Annuity, Disability, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, or related insurance functions
  • 10+ years of progressive Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis experience preferred as an ideal qualification
  • 3+ years of experience leading requirements for complex systems, integrations, vendor platforms, or cross-functional technology initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience supporting multiple phases of the software delivery lifecycle
  • 5+ years of experience developing business analysis deliverables
  • 3+ years of experience facilitating requirements and solution design sessions
  • 3+ years of experience preparing and presenting requirements, recommendations, and project updates to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance product development, including product specifications, state filing considerations, regulatory impacts, and launch readiness
  • Experience across Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery models
  • Experience with insurance technology capabilities including policy administration, underwriting, illustrations, product or rules engines, data integrations, correspondence, reporting, or digital platforms
  • Experience coordinating delivery with third-party vendors, managed service partners, or enterprise shared service teams
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Visio, Miro, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, or comparable tools
  • Professional certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, CSPO, SAFe, Six Sigma, or comparable credential
