About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with Investment Management and Operations on close cycles
  • Prepare and review internal and external audit requests
  • Participate in implementation of key projects, including system improvements and implementations
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual close-cycle activities
  • Execute processes and controls supporting derivative accounting and controllership
  • Identify and implement accounting improvements to increase business value and team efficiency
  • Participate in problem-solving to improve quality, cycle times, efficiencies and controls
  • Manage priorities and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Collaborate across teams within the Controllers Organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of related work experience in investment/fund accounting or financial reporting
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, PivotTables, data analysis and large financial datasets
  • CPA, CMA or equivalent designations preferred
  • Experience in financial services or insurance company investment GAAP and Statutory accounting, including Schedule DB
  • Experience with investment software such as Aladdin
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze financial datasets
  • Experience with SQL or data analytics software such as Tableau and Alteryx is a plus
  • Experience analyzing new investments and accounting guidance
  • Experience with system conversion or subledger implementation
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment
